Overview
Christie’s Education is delighted to launch a series of lectures exploring Central Eastern European art. We shall learn about important artists from this region of rich cultural heritage, such as Kazimir Malevich, Constantin Brancusi, Tristan Tzara, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Sonia Delaunay and Marina Abramovic. We shall also look into the turbulent political and cultural context in the region that shaped artistic practices in the 20th century, this series will cover key themes and artists from the burgeoning art scene of Central Eastern Europe. Coinciding with showcase Tracing the Fragments co-curated by K11 Art Foundation and Q Contemporary, the lectures will be followed by a guided tour of exhibited works. Register now and join us live in-person at K11, or receive a link post-event to watch the sessions online.
