The next opportunity to enhance your collection will be during the Handbags X HYPE and Luxury Week in New York on 6 – 13 December. Christie’s Education offers you the exclusive opportunity to learn about the luxury market for handbags and the brands that dominate it, in the
course taking place on 9 December. From Hermès to Chanel: A Guide to Iconic Handbags
Led by a Christie’s handbags specialist, this course will showcase some of the auction highlights, including extremely rare handbags by Hermès, such as a matte white Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Birkin 30 with palladium hardware, runway pieces by Chanel, artist collaboration pieces and more. “This auction captures luxury as it is defined today—from heritage brands to hype,” remarked Caitlin Donovan, Head of Sale for Handbags & Accessories and the course lecturer.  

Participants will not only learn about the investment potential of handbags and how to determine the best quality and care for an established handbag collection, they will also get the rare chance to handle some of the handbags featured in the sale.
