Overview
Spend a year learning about the art world at Christie’s Education New York. The Art Business Program is designed for both newcomers seeking a thorough grasp of the art market and professionals looking to refresh their knowledge and discover new analytic methods. The program comprises a series of interlocking modules, each designed to complement one another, culminating in a holistic picture of the art world today.
Sessions are presented by carefully selected specialists including advisors, economists, historians, curators, lawyers, auctioneers, dealers, insurers, appraisers, and scholars. The full program consists of 5 modules. Each module is made up of 5 evening sessions meeting at Christie’s auction house once a week. Art Business students will also have access to sale previews with specialists, auctions, a private warehouse tour and handling session at Christie’s, in addition to networking opportunities through invitations to Christie’s Education alumni events.
Module 1: Art and Valuation (September 17- October 15, 2024)
Module 2: Art and Law (October 22- November 19, 2024)
Module 3: Art and Finance (January 7, 2025- February 5, 2025)
Module 4: Art World Infrastructure (February 11- March 11, 2025)
Module 5: Careers in the Art World (March 18- April 15, 2025)
$3,500/module or $15,000/annual
* Christie’s Education Certificate offered for those who attend all 5 modules
* Numbers will be limited with priority given to students registering for the entire program
