Christie's Education Introduces Two New Year Long Programmes

Christie’s Education is pleased to present to you our two new innovative academic year-long programmes, the Contemporary Art Business Program and the Art World Career Project. These programmes are developed with the student in mind, with special access to experts and specialists within the art market as well as offering hands-on experience with works of art. Both programmes are hybrid, with the option to learn virtually or virtually and in person. The courses aim to expand on existing programmes at Christie’s Education and offer you everything you need to build your future in the art market, theory, practice, and most importantly, contacts within the industry.  

The Contemporary Art Business Program is designed to work around your schedule. The virtual classes will be recorded to allow you to follow along live or at your leisure. All students will have access to a series of career development workshops. Learn how to get hired in the art world by crafting a better CV and polish up your interview skills with Christie’s Human Resources. A special public speaking workshop will teach you how to talk about contemporary art and a career roundtable discussion offers networking opportunities.
 
Take your learning into the real world with the Contemporary Art Business program in-person elective courses. These exclusive courses, including Art in the CityInside the Auction House, and Conversations in Contemporary Art, are designed to enhance your connoisseurship skills and expose you to the greatest contemporary art city in the world – New York City.

Continuing this commitment to quality art education, we are also delighted to introduce the Art World Career Project: Designing Your Professional Future in the Art Market.  

This exciting new year-long programme puts you in control of where you want to be within the art industry. Career-focused courses covering Art Advisory, Curating, A Guide to Opening a Gallery as well as Marketing, PR and Communications for the Arts are supported by programmes that offer an insider’s view of key Art Law structures, insurance, logistics, taxation along with art market economics, the contemporary art market, including NFTs, provenance and restitution and collection management.  

All students will have access to a series of career development workshops,  learn how to get hired in the art world by crafting a better CV and polish up your interview skills with Christie’s Human Resources. An addition to this, Students will be able to spend a day in a Christie’s department, enabling you to gain first hand knowledge on how the auction house works. (subject to availability)
