Art History Link-Up X Christie's Education Scholarship

03 Aug 2022

Christie's Education is delighted to present the winners of the Art History Link-Up X Christie's Education Scholarship.

Fewer than 8 state schools offer art history A level, but AHLU has taught over 300 students from over 150 state schools who give up their Saturdays to study art history A level. AHLU alumni are now studying art history at all major universities in the UK, including at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and of course the Courtauld.

Two scholarships were offered, one for current and alumni students, and another for AHLU’s teaching team, of Art Business Masterclass Certificate Courses worth up to £5,000 each, plus generous secondary awards.

The Art Business Masterclass Certificate is based around two core courses, ‘Art Law’ and ‘Art Market Economics’, with two secondary courses, ‘Navigating the Art World’ and ‘Valuation’, and a choice of two additional modules, from Jewellery, Modern Art, Design, Watches and Old Masters. The Certificate is made up of four online courses and two virtual courses. The courses run several times a year so students can start the course when it suits them.

The AHLU x Christie’s Education Scholarship was an amazing opportunity to gain a vocational qualification that will support a career in the art world, add to your c.v. and stand you in good stead for academic applications.

For students, Winners included 1st Prize Mei Kawago, 2nd Prize Student Yordan Nikilov and 3rd Prize Student Sasha Hardy. To read 1st Prize Winner Mei Kawago’s Essay, please click here.
