History of Jewellery Design: 1880 to Now brings high jewellery to life, revealing the context of its creation throughout the twentieth century. During your studies you will be introduced to the patrons, jewellers and fashions that made Europe the epicentre of influential new styles of jewellery, as well as encountering the international masters of high jewellery in the twenty-first century.
Jewellery: Gemstones, Metal, Fashion, Film and Objets d’art takes up where History of Jewellery Design: 1880 to Now ends. Having gained an understanding of jewellery design by period, this new course will provide essential insight into further high jewellery houses, gemstones and metals, how jewels are worn in fashion and film, as well as the exquisite accessories the great jewellery houses also made.
Watches provides a historical introduction to the development of the watch and its functions. The course discusses in detail the brands and designers who have made the mechanical wristwatch the object of desire that it is today, looks at the evolution of watch design, and tracks the watch market.
